Katrina, as our archivist, has helped us through many events and happenings as the museum and library. Her experience and knowledge has shown us how things should be archived here at the Library!

Katrina received her Bachelor of Arts from Washington State University in history and another major in anthropology.  She then went on to get her masters in library and information science with an focus on archives. Once she graduated, she went to work for the Clackamas County Historical Society in Oregon City, Oregon. It is from Oregon that Katrina has come to JBPL to work in our archives.

At JBPL, Katrina works with our many materials that reside in the archives. This includes books, manuscripts, photographs, video, audio, and miscellaneous objects. She provides preservation and conservation treatments as needed and provides support for how to design our exhibits so that the items occur as little damage as as possible.

One of Katrina's favorite items in the collection is a love letter written to Mrs. Bartlet, in Latin!

In her free time, Katrina participates in musical theatre, where her favorite shows include (but definitely not limited to), RENT, Les Miserables, Oklahoma!, and Alter Boyz. She also participates in both ballroom and swing dancing, as well as ballet. Katrina also enjoys reading and over the years, has read numerous books.
